According to a recent IBM Smarter Workforce Institute study, three quarters of HR and hiring managers (77 percent) use social media for recruiting.
Of those HR and hiring managers who use social media in recruitment, most (80 percent) say job candidates’ digital reputations affect their hiring decisions. In fact, almost half (42 percent) said it influences their hiring decisions to a great or very great extent. In short, your digital reputation could impact the likelihood of being offered a job.
